So I'm officially an iOS device user; (iPod Touch and iPhone), and I have two little ones; three-and-a-half and 19-months. I've found a few apps to be fun and entertaining for both my kids:
Nathaniel likes balloonimals, TeachMe Toddler, Chatter Phone, Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, Mickey Mouse Dance Star, and so far that's all I've tried for him. The TeachMe Toddler is especially cool as it works wonderfully with VO, and I was able to help him get started and set up the learning environment to fit his skill levels. Hannah likes the free apps from Fisher Price like Counting Animals and Animal Sounds. I also downloaded the KinderMusic app for them which has 5 different radio stations and there's even a feature that explains some physical activities you can do with your little one all accessible with VO. Anyone else tried out some iOS or Android apps for kids?

What is baloonimals? What is baloonimals? I think Word popper and Moxie are both good family games, but I think they would fit older kids much better. Have you tried any Sesame street themed ones? Maybe that would work?

Balloonimals is kinda cool actually. With the iPhone, the child selects what color balloon they want, blows in to the microphone to inflate the balloon, shakes the phone to twist it in to an animal and than touches the animal to make it do things. My son always chooses the green balloon, which turns in to a dinosaur and when he touches it, it roars and I think it stomps its foot. Lol. It's kinda cool.
